We have had a few cars towed back to the dealership, more at others across the state for leaking oil. Apparently the gaskets have been failing on them.
WIll post more when I get the info, there might be a bad batch or two of them.

I'll post the numbers from the emails from SOA,the ones I have had fail, fail under initial startup. The threads are messed up and it blows out the seal.
Ill post batch numbers tonight

Is it specific to one particular part number filter (different p/n for the 2.5, 3.0, FB etc). If it's only one particular p/n, it would narrow down the need to search for batch numbers on in-hand filters.

Theyve had bad ones on the new 13 filetrs, 2.5 to the older lower 2.5

So some of the batches started with a aa and s1. The good part is if they fail it's usually at start up.
I had one blow the seal 3 weeks later so kinda hit or miss there.
We haven't had an issue in a week so could be gone too.
Didn't wanna scare anyone from using the oem filters, just a heads up for the DIYSers.
