I'm looking for some offroad tires 15" ('03 outback wagon)(215/75R15) . I need more protection for rocky conditions. I drive some really nasty roads!

I plan on getting some cheap steel wheels . Some of the tires I've looked at are :BFG allterrain k/o,
Dunlop radial rover RVRXT. Pirelli Scorpion A/T. Would be great in the snow too!! Other suggestions?:D

Maybe see who the tire sponsors of the rally cup racing are, and hit their websites. They might have some compromise on/offroad tires in their selection.

Paul Eklund's shop is up there, he's an avid racer. I think they sell used/new gravel type tires, Primitive Enterprises. Brian

What all-season tire would you recommend for occasional off-road use, and good snow/mud traction? Like many other Outback owners, I am considering the Contiextremes as an all-season tire. However, since these are 'performance' tires I am concerned about sidewall damage the minute I need to go off road.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the suggestion. Would you consider this tire more or less durable (for off road use) than the OE Firestone Wilderness tires?

I also just finished reading through the numerous customer reviews at 1010 tire:Link Overall positive reviews, however some points were brought up that have me concerned:

- soft side walls
- mixed reports on snow traction
- no warranty
- some reports of extremely poor tread-wear

Treadwear is fairly important to me since I am currently driving at least 700km per week on a concrete highway.
