Outback Center Console Click

I realize that most new cars have tons of plastic parts that love to click and make noise. I recently purchased a new Subaru 2013 Outback limited and have found the brushed metal looking strips below the center dash heater vents that run down along the center console on each side along the stereo and heater controls clicks/pops when hitting certain bumps or can become constant when on certain types of freeway roads. I can reproduce it by pushing lightly at different spots and seem to be able to reduce it by applying slight pressure in certain spots. I am interested if anyone else has encountered this challenge and found a trick to reduce or prevent it.

Try to spray some silicone into the seams between the different components.
My new '13 Outback is also a Limited, and I haven't had a single problem with BSR (buzz, squeak, and rattle). For your sake, I sure hope you can have the dealer find and eliminate the source. Those types of noises can drive a person crazy.
if it clicks all the time it might be your shift solenoid. the click means its working. some cars have it worse than others, it drives me crazy when i drive with the wife in the car cuz she hates music so all i hear is that stupid clicking.
I not only hear that stupid click every time I stop the car, but can feel it through the shifter. Again, dealer says "normal". But it is incredibly annoying.

13 Legacy I just bought has the dreaded shift lock solenoid click too. Didn't even give me 1000 miles of peace before it showed up. Beyond frustrating. How does Subaru not fix this?
