Wow. I thought it was the "Subaru Outback Mile High Club".

I was thinking about what I have done on camping trips in the back of a Subaru when at locations greater than 5000 feet in elevation.

Ready for another headgasket. Did one at 155,000 right after I bought it in 2015. 80,000mi in four years.
Hoping to get 300,000. Why not, ya know?

2008 OB, just over 237,000 miles. A few more bumps and squeaks than the day I picked it up, but still runs very well. I don't really do any serious off-road driving, but it certainly has not been restricted to only paved roads.

I Can Go For Miles and Miles

I decided to start a post for people here who have 100k+ miles

State your year, model, and mileage

Ill Start

Black 2000 Subaru Outback Wagon Limited - 102,000

Crossed 100k on my Thanksgiving trip back home to Brooklyn NY from Columbus Ohio.

{Hero Note} I changed the thread title from saying "SOB.com" to Outback.org ;)
My 2013 Subaru Outback has 103,000 miles on it. I bought it new and have it serviced every 5000 miles. At 40,000 miles the Santa Cruz Subaru dealership replaced the short block because it was burning oil and at 100,000 miles they replaced the CVT valve body. Both jobs were under warranty.

Just recently I replace the struts and springs with KYB and King Springs all Pre-assembled from Primitive Racing, I also lifted the car 2 inches with one of their kits. I had the wheels realigned and all fluids replaced, new sparkplugs and the headlights now have LEDs in high, low, and fog, they are really bright. I am running Michelin tires. I think the car runs better now than when brand new and you should see it take the turns.

I also put in an aftermarket Pioneer Headunit with a couple of amps and a subwoofer and a lot of sound deadening pads. I’ve got a really rockin car. It vibrates. I put a lot of money into it haha. I drive back-and-forth across the country just listening to music. I’ve got white line fever. I’ll do another trip in about eight days, 3500 miles.

I don't own an Outback yet, but my 2004 wrx wagon has 188k on it. Still runs great! Once in a while I'll get a little hesitation while accelerating, but I know I'm due for new plugs, and my coil packs are original, so I'm going to replace all of them and the plugs this spring.

2008 with 178,000. Head gaskets were replaced around120k, Subaru offered to pay half if I brought the car to the dealership, but it was much more than the private Subie shop.

2010 Outback 2.5 205,000 miles.

Aside from replacing timing belt and water pump at 105,000 nothing has ever needed replacement. No leaks and car runs great. Still debating to keep it or sell before I have to do the timing belt again.

2010 with 466,825 miles. Trans replaced twice under warranty. Head gaskets twice. The second time, @ 449k, I decided to replace the complete bottom end with a whole new assembled unit direct from Subaru. It was burning oil a little...
That is a lot of miles. How many miles does the trans have on it currently then? I assume if it was under warranty it was before 100k that it was done. Congrats on all those miles.
