So I know that this is a re-occurring problem with most gen 2 obw, and perhaps even the sedan versions. But for those of you who have had problems with the lower part of the dash on the passenger's side peeling and chipping, DO NOT FEAR. This piece can be replaced (kinda) easily and is extremely cheap for the OEM part. Pictures and more details to come soon ??

The dash pieces vary between year model 00-04 I believe (don't quote me on that). There are 66050AE22AGE, which rings in at ~$90, and 66050AE35AGE, which is the one I installed. It was ~$50. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I will answer them asap. Here is the finished product.

I have a 2001 Outback sedan, can confirm it has the same problem. I just covered it with some wood-grain Duck(tm) tape. Classy!

Also the more expensive one is wrapped with some sort of soft material. The cheaper one is plastic and would recommend going with that instead as it will last longer.
