Just before I go looking for this thing... on these models, is this thing towards the passenger side or the driver side? I have to drive out 20 miles to go to the vehicle... so I am hoping to not have to deal with it too much. Also, is it possible to get to it without dismantling other things on the car? Thanks!

above the crank pulley - below the alternator

kinda like these;

looks like this - connector color might be different;

I think it's a 12mm bolt head. On occasion, I have read of people having difficulty removing very old ones that are rusted in-place.

you can probably find a youtube video of a swap procedure.

Perfect! Thanks a ton. I was barely able to do it, but I got it replaced without anything else needing removed. Better yet, the code cleared on its own and it is purring now.

EDIT: Mine was 10mm.
