I took delivery of a new 3.6 Ltd 10 days ago. About a week in, error code P0500 popped up, all the warning lights came on, anti-lock brakes became resistant and power steering diminished. Had code cleared and problem repeated the next morning. When accelerating, engine revs to 3,500 rpm and all forward momentum is lost. If I back off accelerator to 2,500 rpm, I can re-engage transmission.
Car is currently at dealer with power steering code registering vehicle speed of 75mph when car is in park. Dealer has ordered replacement power steering control module and will be installed in two business days.
Anyone else had this? Or experience with car going into "limp" mode?
Really want to love this car!! Reliability mandatory for numerous trips into backcountry year-round.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
