Yep, same happens eventually with favorite radio stations... one of many bugs with the head unit.

Yes, I'm having the same problem with my 2018 Subaru Outback with phone favorites disappearing once every 10 days or so.

I'm wondering if this head unit is based on Linux or QNX. QNX is more stable.

I just got a new 2018 Outback Limited. I can't seem to figure out how to add phone favorites at all. I do have favorites set on my iPhone, but they didn't transfer into favorites in my car with the download of my phone contact list. I can't find any information on manually adding favorite contacts. Am I missing something? Are your favorites still dropping out every two to three weeks? When they drop, how do you add them back in?

I havent used the phone app on the head unit much but my favorites were always there.

Only in car play I have a problem with my favorites. For some reason when I click the name to call it doesnt do anything.

Yes. You should get a good phone mount and use the head unit only for features that are not on your phone.

And only use your phone when you are not driving.

I haven't stored any favorite phone #s yet but my radio stations went by-by after using Android auto. The one screen to do it all thing, doesn't seem to have all the kinks worked out yet.

Happens to my ‘18 also.

At what point does this qualify as a lemon? I’ve seen so many negative reviews on the units. I’ve had mine reflashed twice. I’m pushing for a new unit but from what I’ve read, it’s a waste of time.

Has anyone had any luck with these issues. It’s a lemon as far as the head unit goes.

I see lots of issues with the head unit as I read thru.
Our 2018 SO Limited is a few months old. Our issues as losing favorites, Radio comes on when you start the car, and a battery with a bad cell.
The battery was replaced and the head unit had a software update last month. It did not fix the favorite saved phone numbers or the radio coming on when starting.

Time to save everyone's problems and head to the dealer.

I just purchased a 2018 Outback Limited, and my telephone favorites keep erasing every 2-3 DAYS. I am also having problems with the satellite radio favorites number 10, 11, & 12 losing their stations and saying initializing at the same time that the unit loses the phone favorites.

Subaru released new head unit firmware within the last couple of weeks. Check your firmware version and if there's a 17 in it, you need to get the dealer to update it. It is a warranty issue, so you shouldn't be asked to pay anything.
