*PS, I'm confused. This board calls this a 2nd gen, the link calls them 3rd gens and so does another message board.

In the EU and AUS markets our 2nd gens are their 3rd gens.

The first generation Outback was based on the second generation of Legacy. Thus being one increment off. Saying a BE/BH Outback is second generation is correct, in that its the second generation of the Outback design. However, the BE/BH platform is the third generation.
