picked the new one up last wednesday. they were nice enough to ceramic wax it so i didn't have to do that. got some weathertech mats for it
nice i picked up the same car a month ago..Hello all- first time poster here on the site! I have just purchased my second Outback, I had a black 2016 2.5 premium a couple years ago, for the most part it was a fine vehicle but I did not care for the CVT nor the underpowered (IMO) engine.
So... yesterday while thumbing through the local ads, I came across a one owner 2013 3.6R limited, in the brilliant brown pearl color with the special appearance package. It had just been posted so I jumped on it, and now I am its proud new owner!
A few pics:
Hello Folks -
Finally adding more accessories to the 2013 3.6R, extended Load Worrier roof rack supporting a 180W
Heretic 6 LED Light-bar throwing out 26K lumens. Also have the Yakima Slim Shady awning with quick release mounting to the top of the roof rack (Right side I'm thinking) Next on the list shall be a set of Power Shot premium brakes because coming from driving German cars these brakes are awful. New wheels & more aggressive tires in the future - still debating in my head if im going for bigger tires and if I do... should I add a 2" lift? Age old question all New Subie Owners I'm sure ponder. In in the end I'm probably going to keep the size stock and invest in Brakes and Suspension. 90% of its time is spent in suburbia anyhow. Ps: I apologize for the Outback being so clean, I'll do better next time.
Take Care All
the way it came from the factoryThose rotor measurements and the picture of the rears being vented, seems like they are the STI /Brembo rotors. Do you have an upgrade brake set up or do they fit OE 3.6 ?
it was a little over $300 for the rotors and pads. Thanks for the heads up, those Brembo's are are actually reasonable priced. I may go this route.
did you use spacers? i had 16" Beretta GTZ rims with nokian snows on my 03 and the space between the whole rotor/caliper was pretty tight. those tires had like another year maybe. i went ahead and bought some 17's off an 09 legacy and got some nokians for those but i honestly figured the 16's wouldn't fit since the rotors on my 3.6r are an inch bigger..never mind went and looked it up and the rotors are bigger for the 6cyl vs the 4cylBlack Rhino Rumble with 235/75/15 Falken Wildpeak AT3W. I love them. Great off road and on the highway.
when i bought it from subaru last year the sales girl said they ceramic waxed it. the salt killed the wax. we shall see how long it lasts. i bought the quick detailer spray to hit it with after washing. a week or so after i waxed it we got some snow and i went out the next day an it effortlessly slid off. been awhile since i had a waxed car, almost forgot how it felt.I need to put some ceramic wax on my car again... it's been quite a long time 😬
i've always just stacked mine and never had a problem..usually get put in a corner or somewhere it won't be in my way. my last set of nokians i had for 8yrs and were definitely on their last year but never showed any dry rot since they were always stuffed in a corner or shed away from the sunI have never thought of storing wheels like that before... Definitely going to steal that idea.
