It's possible to fish power and ground wires from the cavity where the center speaker would be (if I had one) to the cabin fuse box! Use an add-a-circuit fuse adapter in the 20A console power port position, and ground wire to the 6 mm bolt holding that fuse box in place, install a 12V socket in the cavity, and cut a slot in the cover panel for the speaker cavity, and you're in business! There's enough room for the socket, Garmin's bulky power adapter, and most of their power cable tucked inside there. It makes for a much neater installation. Much nicer than draping the GPS power cord over the dash!

Very nice.

I was forever having problem keeping the suction cup stuck for taking the gps off to keep it out of the sun when parked and now just use the beanbag. My old Garmin Drive Smart 60 was fried by the sun.

Now i put the Drive Smart 61 in the center console when not in use.
