I understand from reading other posts that it is possible to rig the power windows on my '03 OBS to always be 'ON'. I assume this would mean connecting the window power directly to the battery (bypassing the ignition). This can't be too complicated but I have no idea how to do it... does anybody know how this works? Any experiences with this? Thanks.

Have you considered the possible security implications? Seems to me somone could figure out a way into the car if they knew the windows were always powerered, like forcing something in the seal and pushing the button. Just a thought..

I've thought about that as well but security, for many reasons, is not really a concern in my case. By the way, my dog locked me out of my running car once and the police officer that I flagged down had my door open in about 15 seconds with a thin metal strip... he mentioned that subarus are pretty easy to get into because of the laabsence of a window frame. Oh well.
