Preferred timing belt kit?

2260 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  offroadfanatic
I'm preparing to do the 105k service on my 2011 2.5OB. Is there a preferred vendor or kit for the timing belt (and/or kits to avoid)?

Thanks.

most folks try to get rollers with Japanese bearings, tensioner= OEM (NTN ?)

if doing waterpump, OEM or Aisin preferred

Belt; OEM or Mitsuboshi

sources are all over the map = online dealers are good for OEM; subarugenuineparts, fredbeansparts, etc. - or have local dealer match their prices

ebay, rockauto, amazon

^^^ that's how you do it.

if you decide to do thermostat - it needs to be OEM 'style' - like on the left here;
