When I try to charge my iPad via either of the charging outlets on my 2013 Outback I have a strange problem. The seatbelt light and sound for the passenger side come on, the check airbag message appears, and the passenger side airbag Light changes to "off". Those things won't go away until I unplug it and turn off the vehicle. Any ideas on what causes this and how to stop it?

Is the iPad sitting on the passenger seat when charging?

Charging problem

No, it has happened when someone has held the iPad, and when it was in the floor board. It happens immediately after being plugged in.
