For every stereo option available, the drivers in the doors are sized 6.5" front and rear.

For questions about what fits/works in your car for audio equipment a good source is www.crutchfield.com

I did the front doors
they need spacers which are not include the windows will rub on them I will fix that later and put the rear ones too at the same times
they sound way better than the OEM

assume spacers are needed for almost all speaker applications in a 90s, 00s Subaru.

yes learned the hard way
and spacers that fit with these JBL are non-existant so far I had to use regular spacer and cut 1/4 inch all around the inside

I have JBL 6 3/4 speakers installed in all 4 doors of my 2008 Outback. I used the flat metal spacers that came with the speakers, I did not use the angled plastic ones that Crutchfield sent. The space is not perfect for 6 1/2 or 6 3/4, but you can make either work.
