My rear camera stopped operating when my son in law used my 2016 outback to tow his trailer
Is there a fuse that protects this bit of equipment
Does anybody have any advice to steer me in the right direction
Thanks

The camera is switched on by the circuit that controls the reversing lights. Check if the reversing lights come on when you select reverse.

I only have the wiring manuals for the American Spec cars rather than the Aussie spec cars. I am not an electrician, so this may not be accurate....

If the reverse lights do not work, check fuse 18 in the fuse box near the right knee of the drivers dash.

If the reverse lights are working, try fuse 4 in the fuse box near the right knee of the drivers dash. Else check fuses 19 and 29 in the engine bay fuse box.

Other random thoughts: Is it a Subaru towbar installation or aftermarket? Check the trailer wiring connector and where this wiring plugs into the car wiring harness.
