New to the Forum here.

I recently purchased a 2020 Outback Onyx, sweet car!

I learned that if your hands are full and the key fob is in your pocket, you can automatically open the rear gate by placing your hand/arm/body on or near the Subaru emblem.

This feature has stopped working. I can still open it by pressing the button on the gate, key fob, or the button in the cab, but the sensor no longer detects my hand.

Any ideas?

There is a button inside the auto, to the right of the one that opens the hatch that turns off the sensor.
I feel so stupid!

For some reason I thought there was a traction control button there. I never actually looked at the physical buttons. I assumed it was a setting in the computer system or a malfunction.

Thanks you so much. You saved me from an embarrassing trip to the dealer.
