2003 Outback sedan - 2 of the lug studs sheared off.

Didn't get any google hits....

I have knocked out and installed lug studs before on Subaru's, just not on anything nearly this new.

What all needs to come off to do it?

Grossgary - there is a good thread on this in the forums. A couple of years the end consensus was that there is some confusion as to what torque setting was published for the lug nuts. The end result was that under torqued lug nuts have resulted in broken lugs on a few cars once the owners torqued them tighter they stopped breaking them.

I think just the wheel, brakes, caliper carrier, and rotor. Hardest part is probably de-adjusting the E-brake shoes so the rotor will come off.
