Never did brakes on an outback. I have a 2008, are they the same as any other rear disc car? Someone told me that I might have to twist the pucks when collapsing them, True? False?

Thanx for your help with this.

Subaru's use a separate mechanical drum brake system for the parking brake so you do not need to twist the rear rotor when doing a brake job. Due to this the job is actually easier that most cars.

Concur. Front is same procedure as back. But you should check the ebrake function and that it is not hanging up while you have it apart.
