Hi, I got a new Outback wagon in december (2011) - I'm mostly pretty happy with it. I'm concerned about this though... last weekend I squeezed into the end of a parking bay, so much so that the curbside rear wheel was up over the curb and on a bit of a mound. All up that corner of the car was probably 'propped up' almost a foot higher than the other wheels. Nothing much really.
Got out of the car, had to get things out of the boot (aka trunk), then tried to close it... it just wouldn't, tried several times. Each time it felt like it was missing the locking mechanism and the whole boot door wobbled to much I thought it must have been damaged. I then thought to myself, pull on to the flat and try again... then the boot closed perfectly first time.
So I pulled back up to the parking spot and tried again and once more the boot would not close. Lowering the boot door carefully, the left and right sides of the door looked misaligned (but they are fine when on the flat).

So my only conclusion is that there is a certain amount of twist in the bodywork (in the rear at least). But enough to stop the boot door from closing when on only a moderate slope? Very surprised.

Has anyone else noticed this or able to replicate?
