Incorrect Info

If you get the moonroof without the nav package, the backup camera appears in the rearview mirror.

This is incorrect for the 2013 models. I just bought a 2013 Outback and the backup camera screen appears in the in-dash set up. HOWEVER, if I were to do it again, I would get the navigation just because there is a 7-inch screen that comes with it. If you don't get the navigation, you get a screen that is about the size of a small postcard. It really sucks after having an 8.4-inch screen in a previous car.

Size Does Make a Difference

If you have the 9 speaker stereo with the lcd screen or nav it appears on that screen. If you get the 6 speaker stereo it appears in the mirror.

Interesting. What the heck difference does it make with the number of speakers? It must be something to do with the radio.

Still, if I had been just a tad bit more diligent in my research, I would have gone with the larger screen (with navigation). The small one is just plain puny, especially when compared to the 7-inch...or that's what she said.

Canned Heat Not Included

Yes, and I think this is the actual size. :12: It does the job though, and the quality of the picture is much better than what I had on a previous vehicle, especially at night.
