Hi, I am a newby to the forums and I have a 98 Outback that when I turn right and accelerate, I hear a low pitch growling sound that seems to be coming from the rear end. The car recently had the brake pads replaced. Any idea? I was told that it could be wheel bearings. Thanks for any assistance. :)

probably your left rear wheel bearing. have some one else drive while you sit in the back and listen for the noise. you should be able to confirm which side it is . but left sounds right since that side of the car gets loaded when turning right.
