One More Thing.........where can I find what is compatible with my motor as far as years and makes?
If your car is a 2000 then the following holds true. You mention DOHC...that wasn't available in 2000. This is where it's helpful to clearly state year and model.

Any 2000 - 2004 EJ25's
1999 Impreza RS or Forester

1999+ EJ22 will also be bolt in and plug and play but you'll need the exhaust manifold with it.

(If it is DOHC then it's just every EJ25 not mentioned above from 1999 earlier)

you can actually use any EJ25 block and bolt your heads to it, but earlier EJ25D "DOHC" short blocks with SOHC heads require thick headgaskets to keep the pistons, which clear the block, from hitting the heads. but i've done it before.

if you remove heads for any reason on a SOHC engine - be sure to use the Turbo EJ25 headgaskets, they don't leak like the non-turbo headgaskets.
