I just got a new-to-me 2010 3.6R. The interior is in near-perfect condition except arm rest is trashed. I ordered a new one from the dealer and am trying to figure out how to put it on.

I have the service manual and it shows how to remove the entire center console box, but not how to remove/replace just the armrest lid part. Do I have to take the whole thing out to get to the hinge screws or is there another way to get to them?

It looks like a project to get the whole box out so I was hoping to avoid that if possible. I tugged on various parts but didn't want to break something if the whole things just needs to come out to get to those hinge screws.

Thanks!

look at the parts diagram on parts.subaru.com for that part..it gives you a really good indication how to swap it. So would the accessory 110 outlet instructions on subarupartsonline.com
