I'm looking for new tires for my outback. I live in NM and I drive on dirt and gravel roads as well as the hwy. I drive about 500 miles a week back and forth to work with some stop in go traffic. I don't have a lot of money to spend. I'm looking for something that will handle well on and off road. I would love to know what other people are putting on their cars. I have Mitchinlin XIce on right now and I can't afford to buy another set right now and I "need" tires

At 26k miles/year, you're going to be replacing tires every 2-3 years. If you are budget limited, look for best bargains with long tread life from Discount Tire, Costco, etc., as opposed to a specific brand or product. Or watch for bargains on Craigslist where someone is sellng a brand new set and changing the wheels over - that way, you get new rims, and you can save your XIce for winter, without worrying about re-mounting.
