So I bought a 2013 the other day and found this sitting in the passenger seat. Does anyone know what the heck it could be? It's about 1.5cm long.

It's not an allen wrench. Like I said, it's about 1.5cm (what a tiny allen wrench). It's just a L shaped piece of metal (round cylinder, not hexagonal).

Maybe it's just something the dealer had in his pocket and it dropped out.. who knows.

The pic you posted sure looks like its got flat sides, at least on the short part. Give us a nice close up shot on macro with a ruler beside it. I've seen some pretty tiny Allen wrenches.

Its not for the roof rack thats in the spare tire compartment and its way to small. Just throw it in the back. If you throw it away you'll need it tomorrow. Keep it and you'll never need it or know what it is.

I found it last week after trying to use a screwdriver type torx with no luck. I had to read the manual to find it. Pretty nifty tool with the built in torque wrench.
