G'Day

Fairly long time lurker, first post!

While out and about today, noticed a smell of fuel. On getting home popped the bonnet / hood open and immediately saw a pipe disconnected from what I think* is the airbox, and a steam-like gas coming out of it.

Waited for the engine to cool down, and then re-connected the pipe. Do you think thats fixed it or should I be looking elsewhere as well? I'll go have a test drive soon as I can.

*This may not be the correct name!

PS I searched the fora first to see if this kind of question was already answered
PPS Maybe I should get a workshop manual? Are there downloadable ones?

Thanks!

That's a PCV hose and the fumes were gases created from within the crankcase. Disconnected it creates a vacuum leak which alters the fuel trims.
