To complete the look, consider installing one of these.

I kind of like it. I may try something similiar when I pick up my 2013 Limited on Monday. Does anyone think the safety orange will interfere with the EyeSight?

soooo what you think lol :D

eBay has some interesting adhesive backed stuff for your silver bits. Some are even the light wood tone stuff I think might look nice. I still think it might be best to get some junkyard bits to tinker with before committing to changing the stuff. Subaru buyers of my car, some day far ahead in time, seem a bit traditional in their tastes. Offering the stock and the custom bits just seems a nice way to have fun at less cost. Best wishes!

Now for a lighter set of wheels... The unsprung weight in those alloy wheels just seems as if I'm losing power to getting that slab-mass rotating!

Haters gonna hate. They probably think fake wood looks 'sharp'. Don't mind their AARP and 'cop suck up' stickers on back.

The link didnt work, but I saw what you were getting at. I was/am thinking about painting my wheels orange with the orange plastidip. I think it would look interesting with the green, but the wife said no almost before I was done saying it. Maybe I can get her to go out of town for a week or so. Haha.

I still think this.

I think its always fun to customize your ride.

Not a fan of our wood trim and the only stickers I've put on my car are required by the state.
At least you didn't try to posture by implying you had LEO powers. Some don't find some styles tasteful, but the really clever ones know that its tasteless to just come around to hate on others' work.

I like the motif. Reminds me of something else with a horizontally opposed engine. Those wheels would really do it, too.

The silver interior bits

Do the silver bits pull off easily or are they glued onto the panels? I really enjoy wood working and the thought of some nice grain in the interior seems appealing. Overall, I appreciate this thread's support for making your Subaru, YOUR Subaru.

I never asked, but if the OB is the dark blue, that orange is a great statement for all UofI alumni, Bears fans, etc. This is some nice way to make the car your own...

Well these are the exact words from the OP..
"soooo what you think lol :D"

The OP opened the public door for opinions. Anyone painting a mass-produced private vehicle with safety orange trim will create controversy. Expect positive and negative responses. In a sarcastic way, I shared an opinion that was openly solicited by the OP.
The example Porsche GT3 is a street legal race car. Brightly painted cars is part of the genre and not representative of average family oriented vehicles.
If the orange trim was on a WRX, it would look tasteful.

those wheels would look incredible with the orange. im not crazy about that color but that would look great on your car, and i think you should put yellow laminx film on the fogs, too strong of a contrast from bright orange to clear light. and definitely black out those headlights! sell a kidney if you have to.
