It's got me baffled, but that's not hard to do. It's been coming on awhile, intermittant starting. I thought it was the old battery, replaced it and it was good for awhile, but before long started having issues again. But finally failed for good, so I started trying to debug. Battery seemed good, jumping off didn't help, so I figured it was the starter, replaced it but same issue.
It clicks once (solenoid engaging) when key is turned to start. Battery drops about a volt. The voltage on the large starter post is same as battery before starting, drops to close to zero when attempting to start.
Measured resistance in positive cable, it's about 1 ohm.
So new battery, new starter, same problem. Any ideas?
Thanks.
