I have an 06 2.5 that has a busted timing belt. Removed the TB cover that was cracked. I was told this is a variable valve enging due to the blue solenoid. The car has 234oookms.Should I do a leak down test on the heads? Or have I for sure bent valves and should just pull the heads off? Thanks!

Interference engine.

99% probability of multiple bent valves.

Thanks that will save me the time. Im a novice so Im assuming find a used JDM 2.5 engine? Repair the heads and add the used JDM block? Compatible? Or US only? I dont have the funds to rebuild the bottom end and top. Thanks for the support guys as I want to learn but also do it right step by step! :)
