I have a 2013 Outback Premium. I had my phone linked to the bluetooth system in the car, every time I got in, the phone would automatically connect to the system, no problem.

Recently had to have my phone replaced. I was able to pair the phone to the system, but cannot delete the old one out so that this new phone becomes the "primary", and automatically syncs when I get in the car.

Anyone had a similar experience or have suggestions?

The problem is that there are two pairings recorded by the head unit. One for audio, one for hands free. Did you remove them both, delete the pairing from the phone, and then re-pair?

Kolenka: I am not familiar with that procedure. Is it a simple one?
