I've got an opportunity to pick up some 2011 STI springs and struts with 2700 miles on them for $399. Would these fit on my '01 2.5 wagon?

You're going to sag in the back, so you'll need spacers. Other then that you'll need your legacy top hats and a alignment. $399 is kinda high, find a set of like 04 (rebuild them cause of the clunk that happens) or a set of 05's. Get 04's for like 125 bucks and 05's for little less then $200. Don't use your Outback springs, as there will be zero travel.
