Hi there! I am trying to mod my 2004 Subaru legacy with Forrester struts off a 2007 Columbia edition which is the first time I’ve Ever done this project and I love my Subaru’s. I was watching videos on how guys will change Impreza struts to Foerster struts to give it a 2 inch or 2.5 inch lift being new at this I went and bought some Forster struts for my car thinking that they were interchangeable as well. However my rear struts are completely different than the Forrester struts so I was curious if it is possible to make the Forrester struts compatible with my 2004 legacy seeing that they have a different strut mount configuration. Thanks!

As I understand it, Legacy and Outback are cross-compatible in many parts.
Impreza, Forester and Outback Sport are cross-compatible.

Ok interesting because the struts in the rear of my car has two bolts on the top hat and the forester has three bolts for it’s top hat so I’m curious if there is a way to use the parts or if I’m done for lol

you would have to use the top hat from the legacy on the forrester strut
