I recently had an opportunity to view a Subaru (the blue not the black) filter that had been cut in half. I couldn’t believe what I saw!

Can you really not see the reason behind all of this drama?

It would be like going to an astronomy forum and saying, "I looked up at the sky 5 minutes ago and couldn't believe what I saw!" and never providing any more info, LOL.

Obviously what you saw surprised you. Why can't you share info about what, you know, surprised you?

My TDI oil filter does not even come in an enclosed canister. The canister is built into the moter and you just take out the old paper filter and a couple of O-rings and replace them all along with the paper filter. That kinda shocked me.

IIRC, the FB motor used on the 2013's is the same way. Not that it's relevant, but my Hyundai also uses a cartridge filter.
