Interesting video. I guess I never wondered why horizontally-opposed engines were called "boxer" engines. Now I know.

The only other manufacturer of boxer engines is Porsche?

Yes, and BMW motorcycles.

a large percentage of light aircraft are fitted with boxer engines.

not sure about their entire catalog, but Rotax makes boxer engines.

The boxer engine was first patented by German engineer Karl Benz in 1896.

there was russian Ural motorcycle with sidecar that have flat engine. i drove one back in days. it was so powerful. wow

and Ural Australia still make them to this day . upgraded to our day stuff and safety.

they selling them in US and UK too. maybe in other countries as well
and they can be 2wd . imagine offroad with those.
