So, I am moving soon and wanted to seek y'alls advice and recommendations on towing capabilities for my Subaru.
I own a 2005 outback LL.Bean (6 cyl / 3.0 lit. ). I have about 130000 miles. What size trailer should I go with without messing up the engine or transmission? Anything I should know about Subarus and towing? I will take all the advice I can get. Thank you!

keep it small, 1000lbs works fine as a go-anywhere/anytime limit. You can go heavier, but you'll have to start making trade-offs and special considerations.

For that model, I'll be up front: you need to install a new radiator in that vehicle before you start towing. The old wedge-profile Outbacks never had much reserve cooling capability, the H6 less still, and after 15 years there's going to be enough mineral scale in your radiator to present some real problems once you start pulling.

Put a new rad in there and reset that clock; it's not very expensive and makes all the difference.
