So, we got hit with a few inches of snow here in Denver, all in the course of a couple hours. Man, it was GREAT! However, whether it's due to Joe Idiot deciding that he has to drive his 90hp Honda CRX in the snowstorm, or grandma deciding to go take a drive around the block in her 1990 Buick Regal, traffic (naturally) came to a complete standstill in the city. But, WOW...the Subie did VERY well in the wet slick stuff. Luckily most people decided to stick to the half paved lanes, leaving the far right lanes open in a couple places for adventurous people to drive in. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those guys who thinks "Hey, I've got all wheel drive, I can go through anything", but I'm not patient enough to drive 5-10 mph for an extended period of time. So, I pull over in the unpaved lane, accelerate up to about 20-25, and...nothing...no slipping...no "Uh oh! I think I'm going to slam into the concrete barrier"...just me grinning from ear to ear as I pass a bunch of non-Subie owning fools! :D

I love my car!!

Yer **** Right Matt! :D

Yes its true, Subies DOMINATE in the snow and just about every other weather condition. Here in Omaha we currently have 6 inches of snow and I'm sure we'll have at least a foot by the time I wake up tomorrow. On the new they're saying "don't go out unless you have to." Well I have to go out to have some fun in the snow! One of the things I hate about the States is you have to drive a speed limit, well in the snow I'm the only one on the road driving the speed limit ;)

Yippie! Almost a foot on the ground, Kevin. And by the time it's done later today, 12" of fresh snow. Wifey went to work this morning, and it was neat to see the Baja pull out in the thick of things. Brian

We got about 5 inches of snow yesterday, and this morning it's freezing rain. So last night I threw one of my camping tarps over the car and stuck it down with magnets.

Today it has a heck of a crust on it, but the car underneath should still be clear.

Today I pulled the tarp off - I swear, it had about 150 pounds of snow and ice on it.

Glad I have a garage. No having to clear snow of vehicles in the morning.

Not that lucky here. That crusted Escort in the background is also mine, it is badly sunburned from 15 years of being out in the open every day.

This apartment complex doesn't even offer carports; if they did, I'd pay the extra to have the cover against snow in the winter and sun in the sumer.

Just to make you jealous: apart from the 2 car garage I also have a barn. My Camaro is hiding in there from the winter and my sister in law parks her car there.

I went out to Wal Mart shopping, snow everywhere. It was fun. No one was at Wal Mart, I guess it takes a foot of snow to scare Wal Mart shoppers away. Brian

Wow, here comes another foot or more of snow. We just received a foot last week and here it comes again. Boy I wish I had a digital camera to take quick pics! Brian

Over 21" of snow on the ground now! Yipee! Driving the dirt roads is fun. I'm actually surprised that the road crews have done such a good job the last week with almost 2' falling and all. Getting two feet of snow off my roof sucks rocks, though. Brian:eek:

BAH! You suck! I wish we could get a big dumping of snow like that here in Denver. But, no...we're only expected to get 2-4" between now and tomorrow evening. :(

Matt (yes, I'm jealous...hehe)

Wow, snowing again. Another new 3" on the ground right now and still snowing. All the news people are talking about is that right now, in Omaha, there is more snow on the ground in Feb. than any other Feb. ever recorded. 21" depth at the airport. Now, the all time total depth of snow in Omaha is like 27" and that goes back decades. This new snow is allegedly going to bring a total of 6-8" of new snow. That will break the record for all time snow depth at one time here. Thank God for all wheel drive:claphead:

Wonder what it will be like at the end of the month when I have to go there? At least be glad you are getting snow. The last 30 feet of my driveway is a block of ice.
