Fair point that the definition of an Outback as a midsize car is a bit of a stretch.

Fair point that if you have so many higher vehicles in the US, then the crash test should reflect that instead of assuming every impact is just another normal road car.

That is a really good point. Some of the EV specs that I've seen in testing break 5k lbs.

The GMC Hummer EV tops 9k lbs. The new Rivian truck, which is a midsize truck at best, tops about 8k lbs. These new EV trucks/SUVs are getting up to HD truck levels of mass.

So why didn't they test the Legacy which is a lowered Outback?
