hi, doin a full engine rebuild ( 2.5 dohc) , had crank reground , rebore .5mm, and heads resurfaced.
for some unknown reason i accidently ended up ordering C4264-051 cometic head gaskets , which are thicker than standard. would there be any problems using these ? its only a daily driver.

Just slightly lower compression and an accompanying loss of a HP or 2.
I would send the back, as they have viton black coating on them. = https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cgt-c4264-051

vs. bare mutlilayer steel. specifically these subaru ones made for the EJ255 turbo (I have this kind on my own EJ251 now)

here is the description of similar MLS six star ones with black viton that leaked again. and were coming off for subaru bare MLS turbo ones.

@ntippet took the above pics which I have linked many times.

the coating is NOT permanent , once you assemble the head onto block , the viton coating will come off it places. i used six star hg , no trouble ( except for bearings...) and when i removed heads some of the viton coating stayed on the head and block.
and depending on HOW thick, your TBelt may not fit right/well - depending on head resurface. You'll be pushing the heads OUT.
