Hello all,

I will be in the market for a new car at the end of the year and wanted to get some feedback on the Outback. This is the criteria I am trying to meet:

• Only have room for one vehicle, so it will have to be a daily driver as well as a weekend warrior with decent gas mileage.

• I do prospecting on the weekends in the Mojave, so 4 wheel drive/AWD is a must. I will also need to mod the car with skid plates/under-armor as I learned some valuable lessons destroying my Honda CR-V

I appreciate any insight anyone can give me. The Outback is on my "Short-List" along with some small trucks and Jeep offerings. Thanks!!!
