linky no worky for me.

something similar happened to Mazda years and years ago I think? Freighter ran aground and cars sat at a severe angle for weeks. Mazda couldn't be liable for w'ever unknown effect it may have had so they scrapped them IIRC.

Whatever the cause, at this point the ship is laying over on its side at close to a 90 degree angle, and seawater has likely entered the hull - just looking at the way it's settled.

They will probably patch the damage, pump it out to refloat it and roll it back upright, and salvage the hull. The cars in it, not so much. Everything will have body damage to all corners and sides. Nothing sitting under the seawater is any good. Those cars sitting above the water level may have salvageable drivetrain components, but the cost of recovery is going to be prohibitive.

I say 100% total loss on the cargo. Some marine insurance firm is going to pay big time.
