hi folks

When i turn my ignition to the ON position, engine not started, pop the hood. you can hear a loud whining from the throttle body area. to me, it sounds like its coming from the plastic black piece attached to the throttle body. notice in my link, that it looks like one part is glued to the TB. what is this piece?

i've googled it, and it sounds quite common, but mine worries me a bit. it is not a constant whine, but it seems a bit interupted every now and then, thats the part that worries me.

i've provided a video of my noise, check it out, let me know what that part is, and if it is normal

Normal.
Operating sound from electronic stepper motor driving the throttle plate.

Want more strange noises?
Listen to what it sounds like when someone steps on the gas.
