Well we bought the 05 ll bean. Great little car so far. Needs strut mounts but that will have to wait a little while. Car calls for 225/55/r17's got a low mile set of michelin pilots 225/50/r17 and a set of firestone snows 215/55/r17. Is there any reason we shouldn't run these tires?

Both of those sized will work, as long as all four of them are the same size (and even have wear). Using any size other than the stock will affect you speedo and odo reading, and will affect the ride height. The 225/50/17's will cause the speedo to read a couple of mph faster (and more miles on the odo) and lower your ride height about a half an inch. The 215/55/17 would be closer to stock: only 1 mph faster, and a 1/4 of an inch lower ride height.
