Aus versions are 198km/h for the 2.5MT, 197km/h AT (123MPH) 3.0R top speed 224km/h (139MPH). We don't get the XT but the Liberty/Legacy GT we have would be a little faster and it's top speed is 237km/h (147MPH) AT, 223km/h MT (138MPH)...whoa I never knew that had an 5MT GT Liberty here... top speed is lower but claimed 0-100km/h (62MPH) is only 5.7sec!! 1.1sec less than the AT...
Thanks for the reply...I realize that the Outback isn't a WRX, but there are times when I can open the car up and I was curious if there were any computer limiters, etc. on the top end...I've got the 2.5 auto...traintrackker
A fellow german driver with a third-generation Outback 2,5i AT reported at a german subaru board, that he hit a limiter at 220kph. Only the AT 2,5 seem to have it, the manual 2,5l and the AT 3.0R do not have a limiter.
Official figures for germany are:
2,5l MT 198 kph
2,5l AT 197 kph
3.0l AT 224 kph
Seems underrated, since I can do about 225kph with a first-generation 2,5l AT Outback...
One thing I'm curious about is how they can sell the Outback with H rated tires good for a maximum of 210km/h when 3.0R can do more than this speed. ArenH what speed rating tires are they using for new Outbacks in Euope?
