Did I say seven threads? It is now more than seven !

Thanks to all that posted threads on Torque Bind !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figured a grouping of useful threads in one thread will expedite the next beginner's search of forums. ( I hope a mod will move it if this is incorrect placement. ) thanks.

I collected links from the threads I found.

Some are awesome! Some may have only one relevant post. Some are related in a general or secondary way, like ATF changing.

Here are the threads I found helpful.

Note, a few are not from this forum.
Some are for Subaru Forester, for example.

Second time around, I settled for the easy fix as some others have done.

I simply removed the rear part of drive shaft. Now the car (96 Impreza) is a Front Wheel Drive car.

I have read that some models were originally produced as FWD cars (without the rear shaft) but did have the connectors in place for AWD.

Loss of performance is not much of an issue in my case. Driving around town under 50 mph is about all I ever do. So far so good.

oh well,...now you got a fixed up forester with AWD for when the going gets tough in paradise.
