Hi All - new owner of a 2008 3.0R

behind the airbox, between the ABS block and the airbox, there's a small 2-wire plug that comes off the main loom. mine has about a 6" pigtail between the harness and the plug and I'm not sure where this goes. I haven't pulled the airbox or anything yet, but trying to get an idea as to what it may be connected to!

Thanks,
-Alex

Probably for a hood sensor (open/closed) for the security/alarm system. There's been a few posts with the same question over the years.

Same connector on my 07.

Yea - just found a wiring diagram a bit ago and it's plug B321, 2-pole, black color, used supposedly for Hood Switch. XV forum has a post about this same thing with same plug number and say it's related to factory remote start

i guess if not used it's just electrical taped onto the loom so that it's not floating loosly

http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/104-gen-4-2010-2014/40591-under-hood-switch.html has a decent picture

thanks!
