From a 2008 Outback L.L. Bean. EZ30R. Approximately 70K Miles. Still in Car. Runs Fantastic with good MPG (22 in town, 27 highway.) no leaks etc. . . Burns about a quart of oil every 500 miles. Smokes like a chimney on start up. Not using any coolant. It's probably valve seals, but maybe rings. As it's my DD I don't have time to find out, so I am swapping a used engine. Have no idea what it is worth, but to the right buyer it could be a steal. Would like to get $1000 but open to offers. It will be available the week of 24SEP. Wouldn't it be cheaper for you to drop it off at a mechanic for a few days and get it fixed and rent a car for that time period?
