Hello all, I'm new to this forum and the new owner of a 2000 legacy outback wagon with a manual transmission. It has a few problems, some know and some unknown:
When purchased, the heater core was bipassed. I hooked it back up and noticed a very small leak, so I put in some radiator stop leak and haven't had any more problems so far. Recently, however, the A/C has given out, except for when on the highest power.
When at low speed, there is a slight grinding type noise. Someone told me it sounded like the throw out bearing.
The check engine light is on, and the dealer ran it and said it was the knock sensor code. I replaced the sensor, but the light still ces on intermittently.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to do as much work myself as possible to avoide dealer costs. Thank you.
