I recently bought a used 2001 Outback. Unfortunately, the Check Engine light had been entirely removed and it needed a few emissions parts to pass inspection. We replaced a knock sensor, evap valve, and put in a new check engine light. After doing that we figured out why someone removed the Check Engine light somewhere down the line. It has led us to our last code which says Vent control circuit open. Not sure of the number maybe p0447? The wiring harness tested fine about 3/4 of the way up to the computer in the front but we still have no idea where the fault is. Does anybody have any experience in dealing with this? It runs great, just need to get rid of this pesky electrical issue to get it inspected and on the road.
