Ive had my 2015 Outback in 4 times to repair a leak at the driver's side A pillar. It has been unfixable and Subaru said they will buy it back. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is this negotiable?

Might be state law, i.e some objective criteria based on number of visits, number of days out of service, etc. It's not something that they willingly just volunteer on a whim, typically.

I agree it most likely depends on what state the OP resides. Most seem to have a formula that is pretty much etched in stone.

Doubt there is any room for negotiation. Then again it is not often you hear of buybacks on a 3 year old car.
